Rental Fleet Cleaning for Car Hire Companies

Rental fleet cleaning turns a returned hire car around at the depot before its next booking, on a fixed checklist that leaves every vehicle in an identical, documented condition. Damage is photographed on a clean car and reported, not washed over.

What does a rental fleet contract include?

A rental fleet contract includes a per-vehicle clean between hires, a fixed checklist applied the same way to every car, and a photographed condition record at handover. Sand, pet hair and odour treatments are added on request within the same visit.

Exterior turnaround wash
Bodywork, wheels and glass, 45 to 60 minutes at the depotRemoves road film and dust before a hire car is photographed for the next customer's condition report
Interior turnaround clean
Vacuum, wipe-down and glass, 60 to 90 minutes on siteClears the cabin of the previous hirer's dust, sand and debris before the next contract starts
Full turnaround clean
Combined exterior and interior pass, 120 to 150 minutes, 9 fixed stepsUsed for a long-term hire handover or after a heavily soiled return, on the same checklist as every other vehicle
Fixed per-vehicle checklist
One documented sequence, applied identically to every car regardless of which technician attendsStandardisation means the customer-facing condition of a hire car never depends on who cleaned it
Photographed handover record
Exterior panels and interior surfaces photographed once the vehicle is cleanA clean panel shows an existing scratch or dent; a dirty one hides it, so a dispute over prior damage needs a clean reference photo
Damage flagging, not concealment
Any scratch, dent or stain found during the clean is reported to the operator in writingThe technician cleans to a documented standard and reports condition; the technician does not wash over damage or judge fault
Sand and carpet extraction
Carpet and boot-well extraction for sand carried in from beach and surf useBeach and surf hirers load carpet with sand year-round, and the chergui wind adds airborne sand on 25 days a year, so extraction between hires stops it riding on to the next contract
Pet hair removal, on request
Friction-lift extraction from fabric seats and carpet for a returned vehicle that carried an animalA hire car with pet hair cannot go back out to the next customer without a dedicated pass beyond the standard vacuum
Odour treatment, on request
Source removal and an ozone cycle, 60 to 75 minutes, sealed and unoccupiedSmoke or food odour on a return is the most common reason a hire car gets refused at the counter
Monthly visit log
Every vehicle, service and date recorded on a single sheetConsolidates into one invoice a rental operator's finance team can file against the contract

What is not covered

Mechanical checks, roadworthiness certification and off-site key handling sit outside rental fleet cleaning, with a garage, an insurer or the operator's own staff instead. The clean also carries no guarantee against damage that is not soiling.

How does a fleet contract work?

A fleet contract runs seven steps: a site visit, a defined cleaning standard, a schedule agreed against the booking calendar, per-vehicle cleaning on the fixed checklist, a photographed condition record, a written damage report, and a monthly logged invoice.

  1. Visit the depot before the first vehicle is cleaned

The technician checks the 220 V socket, cable run and covered-bay clearance against our 2.25 m service van.

    30 min
  2. Define the cleaning standard for the fleet

The operator and the technician agree which checklist applies to a short-hire turnaround against a long-term or chauffeur vehicle.

    20 min
  3. Agree a schedule tied to the booking calendar

Cleaning slots are set against expected returns rather than a fixed daily count, inside the Monday to Saturday window.

  4. Clean each returned vehicle on the fixed checklist

The same sequence runs on every car: exterior, interior or full clean, 45 to 150 minutes depending on the service.

  5. Photograph the vehicle once it is clean

Panels and interior surfaces are photographed clean, the only condition under which prior damage is visible and attributable.

    10 min
  6. Report any damage found, in writing

A scratch, dent or stain is logged with its photograph and sent to the operator; it is never cleaned over or judged.

    10 min
  7. Log the visit for the monthly invoice

The vehicle, the service and the date are recorded on the sheet that consolidates into one invoice on net-30 terms.

Which operators do we work with?

We work with airport desk franchises, city-centre depots, long-term lease and monthly-hire fleets, and chauffeur or transfer operators. Each turns vehicles over on a different rhythm, from same-day returns to a single handover a month.

  • Airport desk franchisesReturn volumes concentrate around flight banks, so early-morning turnaround before the day's collections matters most.
  • City-centre depotsShorter hire durations mean a higher daily turnover of the same compact and saloon vehicles.
  • Long-term and monthly-hire fleetsA full turnaround clean at handover, from 300 MAD, replaces a rushed exterior-only pass between month-long contracts.
  • Chauffeur and transfer operatorsVehicles return between transfers rather than between multi-day hires, so a same-day interior clean protects the next paying passenger's first impression.

What products and equipment does the crew carry?

The crew carries the same equipment used on a full or interior wash: a carpet extractor, a wet-and-dry vacuum, microfibre drying cloths and an ozone generator, all run from the van without a depot water or power supply required.

Carpet and boot extractor
Injector-extractor unit for sand and grit lodged in carpet backingA surface vacuum lifts the top layer only; extraction reaches the sand carried in from beach and surf use
Wet-and-dry vacuum
Cabin vacuum for seats, door pockets and the boot wellRuns before extraction on every interior and full clean, on the same checklist for every vehicle
Microfibre drying system
Panel-by-panel drying cloths, changed per vehicleA clean, dry panel is the surface a handover photograph is taken against
Ozone generator
Sealed-cabin ozone cycle, 60 to 75 minutesTreats smoke or food odour on a return before the vehicle is offered to the next hirer

What result can you expect?

A vehicle returns to hire-ready condition on the same fixed checklist every time, so its customer-facing condition does not depend on which technician attended. The handover photograph gives the operator a documented, dated reference for any damage claim.

A returned vehicle is unrentable inventory until it is clean. A car handed back at midday and left until evening loses a rental day the operator cannot recover. Cleaning at the depot, on a schedule tied to the booking calendar, keeps the fleet turning rather than parked.

Standardisation is the measurable result: every vehicle leaves the depot in an identical condition because one checklist runs on every car, not a technician's own judgment of what looks clean. A customer collecting a compact at the airport desk and a customer collecting a saloon at a city depot receive the same standard.

Disputes over pre-existing damage are the most expensive recurring argument in car hire. A clean vehicle photographed at handover is the only reliable evidence against them, because dirt hides a scratch or a dent that a clean panel shows. Damage found on the next return cannot be wrongly attributed to that hirer.

What do we need at your depot?

A working vehicle turnaround needs a 220 V socket within 20 metres, a bay of 5 by 3 metres per vehicle, and 2.3 metres of clearance for covered bays. Depot water is optional. The crew carries its own tank on every visit.

Power
A 220 V, 16 A socket within 20 metres of the vehicle bay
Space per vehicle
5 by 3 metres clear around the parked car
Covered-bay clearance
2.3 metres, to admit our 2.25 m service van
Water
Not required — the crew carries its own tank and mixes on site
Vehicle access
Keys or fob handed to depot staff, never removed off-site by the crew
Return notice
Notice of a vehicle return inside the Monday to Saturday window, 08:00 to 19:00

How is a fleet contract priced?

Fleet rates are quoted per contract, after a site visit confirms depot access and expected volume. Per-vehicle catalogue rates start at 150 MAD for an exterior turnaround and 200 MAD for an interior turnaround before any contract discount is set.

From 150 MAD per vehicle before contract terms

Vehicle mix
A fleet of compacts prices from the 300 MAD tier; saloons and SUVs from the 380 MAD tier
Return volume per day
Capacity is bounded by 4 daily slots across 2 vans; a higher volume needs a longer booking window agreed in advance
Service level per vehicle
An exterior-only turnaround, from 150 MAD, costs less than a full turnaround from 300 MAD
Add-on treatments
Sand extraction, pet hair removal and odour treatment are quoted per occurrence, added to the base clean
Depot distance
A depot inside our 30-minute coverage radius from the Talborjt base sits inside a standing contract

Contract cleaning or per-vehicle booking?

Contract cleaning fixes a checklist, a schedule and monthly invoicing in advance for a fleet of hire cars. Per-vehicle booking suits a single car cleaned once, with no standing schedule, no site survey on file and no consolidated invoice.

How does vehicle condition affect a handover dispute?

A hire car with existing paint defects is harder to document honestly than a car with a clean, uniform finish, because swirl marks and old scratches blur into general wear. Correcting the paint once gives every later handover photograph a clearer baseline.

A rental vehicle accumulates fine scratches and swirl marks faster than a privately owned car, from a higher number of drivers across the same contract year. Against that finish, a new scratch is harder to isolate in a handover photograph than against a clean, corrected panel.

A single paint correction resets that baseline: 360 to 480 minutes of work, from 1800 MAD, after which every future turnaround clean and handover photograph reads against a known surface rather than an already-marked one.

Rental fleet cleaning questions

How fast is a single vehicle turned around?

An exterior turnaround runs 45 to 60 minutes; a full turnaround runs 120 to 150 minutes. The vehicle stays parked in its bay for the entire visit.

Is there a minimum fleet size for a contract?

No fixed vehicle count applies. Volume is measured in vehicles per rotation, within the 4 daily slots available, rather than a headcount.

Does the clean help with damage disputes?

Yes. A vehicle photographed clean at handover gives a dated, visible reference for any scratch or dent, because dirt hides those defects and a clean panel does not.

Do you certify a vehicle as roadworthy?

No. Roadworthiness certification and mechanical checks sit with a garage or an authorised inspector, not with this service.

Can vehicles be turned around before the depot opens?

Yes. A booking inside the Monday to Saturday window, from 08:00, covers vehicles due for the day's first collections.

How does this differ from fleet washing for businesses?

Fleet washing covers a company's own cars and vans on a scheduled maintenance wash. Rental fleet cleaning covers vehicles a hire company turns over between customers, on a faster, return-triggered cadence with handover documentation.

Can sand and pet hair be treated in the same visit?

Yes. Carpet extraction for sand and a friction-lift pass for pet hair are added to the base clean during the same visit, at the time the vehicle is booked.

How is a fleet contract invoiced?

Monthly, against a logged visit sheet listing every vehicle, service and date, consolidated into one invoice on net-30 terms.
